I have a pair of pure Yoks from Toni's 2002 imports. They are young, but coming along very well. This is the cockerel.

Bye for now,

Really Nice Cockerel there! He seems to be developing some good, dark shoulder coloration. Do your birds have the colored breasts with the white teardrop markings?

I have two males and three females that I will be working with this year - I am very pleased with their feather fullness and placement - in the neck, saddle and tail locations. I'm getting eggs now, but can not start incubating as I will be doing some trade shows and will be periodically away from home.

I have a trio of very nice whites also - they are laying too and the eggs are a bit different in that they are slightly elongated in comparison to a standard chicken egg.

I regret that I can not post pics of anything at this time as I am having some computer challenges with visual items at the moment.

It is often referenced that the Yokohamas can sometimes lack vigor - maybe we can arrange a genetic exchange if that would benefit either of our flocks at some point in the future.

The pullet does have a few so far. Don't know how that will be after first molt.

My Yok isn't laying yet, but I have a Tuzo hen that lays torpedoes. LOL

Only time will tell how vigorous this pair is. So far, so good. I do have them in a heated area though as not to chance anything with winter cold.

I hope that you can soon have your computer fixed.
Bye for now,

David

Wow he is looking good.... Hope you have good luck with them...There pretty much the last of the import lines.... It may help later on to add some of the yoke blood already here in the usa but they "ALL" had there start at the same place in Europe....[align=center]Toni-Marie

I plan on selling most of my stock this spring. I have about ten pairs of red shoulders that are mostly related to the 2002 imports, and have one hen that is pure offspring from the imports that will likely not make it through this winter. I can't dedicate the time anymore to keep moving forward with these breeds but want to keep them in circulation so they can be put to good use. Most of my stock came from Will Warner when he moved, most were imports from Toni-marie with some blood coming from Jenkins. At one time I ordered 75 chicks from Marti Poultry and saved two pullets that were perfectly marked and culled the rest, but I got a large percentage of very well marked birds with good feathering. I had one cock that had some NM influence and did not moult his tail for two years. Anyway, I will keep you guys posted on what I am going to part with and try to get some photos up as soon as possible. I still have a loooonnnnnnng winter ahead of me!

Thank you for letting everyone know, Adam. Please post whatever you decide to place in new homes in the for sale section at that time. I think you will find people who are interested in them.
