This works really well and so far this is the only time its been mentioned on the internet to my knowledge I came up with this.It may sound crazy but this is a 100 percent guarantee I've done this.
All you need is a small pond and some time. Here it is start while he is young about 6 months old.
TAME the Roo up really good.go to the edge of the pond toss him up over the water where he is headed towards the other side then pick him up and pet him until you get back to the side you started on.then do this again.gradually increase the flights everyday.he will adjust to this he will wait on you to come pick him up then when hes done each day give him some purina dog chow. This stuff is amazing all the proteins, fats, oils, nutrients and it will add incredable shine to even a Rhode island hen.Thats his wing and respitory workout. Then to work his legs you can hold him and stretch them or you can put him in a large well fertilized inclosure full of hay for him to scratch in.Hope this helped.Image

A very good tip. Key being a small pond

A breeder who has some of my line wrote just this morning and was telling me about how his hens fly to him for food. They come from about 200 ft away, 20 ft in the air, with tails spread and in full control. If there's one thing long-tails can do, it's flying well. They love to get out and move.
Bye for now,

David

Amazing it must be the green gf in them since Gf's rather fly than flee through running unlike Red Gf's that fly only to loose enemies in the brush...Green Gf's are also known to fly from island to island. And it would be majestic to see such a gorgeous bird with its tail wagging in the air like ribbons :)

Yes, it is the green JF in them. They can really move if they want to. I have birds with 28 - 30" spans. They prefer to roost too.

These are links about a Japanese breeder.
