Good Morning,

I was judging a show yesterday, and afterwards someone approached me regarding Cubalaya's. I'm not sure where they got it, but they had a very decent Wheaten Male and are looking for females.

Toni, I recall seeing somewhere that you had used some Cub's in your program. Have any contacts that I can refer this family to?

Anybody else have any contacts?

Thank you,
Donald

Oops, forgot to mention that I sent them the link to the Yahoo Oriental Game board as a start.

Toni had gotten some great ones from Sam Brush, but I don't think she still has any. She sent me one and the other to someone else I believe. Mine was excellent in type, but had poor resistance. Everything around him was going strong, while he had to practically live on Tylan and pro-biotics alternately. Sadly he passed the winter following the summer that he arrived here.

If that is the usual case with them (?), I would say get some that are good in type and then quickly outcross to something and select back for type.

From 2005, doesn't show his type well being held vs. if he was standing, but he was a great bird.

Bye for now,

David

I don't have any, but I do have a few pullets that may make a good outcross.
Here is a pic of the rooster that is like the pullets I have.
The only drawback to these birds for crossing to Cubalayas is that they have fairly high tails.
They are GAME by the way.
