I have a BBR Ohiki hen with a Cuckoo Cochin bantam roo. The roo has a crele background his father was a crele cochin bantam cross. Will that work on getting some crele started in the Ohiki? I have worked with crele in the past but not starting the color in a breed. The roo that am using has some crele show on his neck and saddle feathers.

In theory, it should work. Crele is just barring on a BB Red. You might not see 100% Crele in the first generation, but it will work.

That will work. I made mine from a barred fly tie roo X BB Red Ohiki hen... Your cross should do the same.... TMA

He is not a long tail but he is the only crele like color that I have ever got in my breeding of my Cochins. He was just plan barred at first with a little crele showing but after he started to get some of his adult fathering he started to look more crele everyday. I have also bred him to a BBred Ohiki hen but did not know he had that much crele in him when I did that. He is not the best in color but it is the closes I have got to a Crele Cochin. :)
