Post subject: Red Jungle Fowl Standard Proposal * Recommendations Please *
PostPosted: Thu Dec 18, 2008 3:08 am
Hello Everyone!

How is everybody doing? Its nearing winter!!! Holidays are coming. How exciting! So am I because I am finally done with finals and taking a good long break to enjoy the Holidays and a NEW YEAR!

Anyhow, because I am finally free for the next few weeks, I wanted to finish up on my Red Jungle Fowls Standards Page: http://tommyspetparadise.webs.com/

I started it a while ago but never got to finish because school got me booked up most of the time already. Starting on it again and would like to hear any recommendations or imputs to make my proposal stronger with more diverse imputs than what I already have. The more resource, the better of course, because I need to analyse and write. I will be the first to write this proposal for all the different strains so I need to make sure I am on track.

!!!HELP PLEASE!!!

Standards are for Red Jungle Fowls: 3 Strains

Laos Red Jungle Fowl

Vietnamese Red Jungle Fowl

Richardsons Red Jungle Fowl

That is the four I am focusing on right now because since I have them, its easier to cross-reference my feedbacks with the true source. Any help would be appreciated.

 !!!!!!!!!THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

Happy Holidays

- Tommy

Hi Tommy,

The two pictures are taken by Mr.Leica, they are good sample of Thai RJF.
Recently we had found out that the cross between pure RJF and domestic also show eclipse molt.
Please bare in mind that this could happen and one cannot judge from this special character that the birds are pure.

Siam,

Wow! Great shots! Thanks for sharing. They are from Thai RJF right? Do you happen to have Mr. Leica's e-mail or webpage? Would like to inquire more about them to learn more about them. Very good shots : )

PS: As for you Siam, do you breed RJF as well? They are neat little things aren't they?

Hello Everyone,

Sorry for the confusion and have been meaning to update this earlier but didn't have a chance until now. There isn't such a thing called the "Red Junglefowl Standard", its just basically called a GUIDELINE to help guide those to select the right kinds, determine the difference, etc. They wouldn't be called JUNGLEFOWLS anymore if they had a "Standard" for them. Haha. My bad...

Nevertheless, any help would be much appreciated! : )

:longtail:
